The week started promisingly with European greetings: two from the Netherlands and one from Germany.
Mangusti kurkisti postiluukustamme. Sen lähetti Esther eteläisestä Alankomaista ( Tilburg ). Hän kertoo olevansa koirien ystävä. Päivittäiset kävelyt kahden Australian labradorien kanssa kuuluvat ohjelmaan. Kiitos paljon! Hyvää syksyn jatkoa!
A mongoose peeked through our mailbox. It was sent by Esther from the south of the Netherlands (Tilburg). She says she is a dog lover. Daily walks with two Australian Labradors are part of the program. Thank you very much! Have a nice autumn!
Jos asuu myös Etelä-Alankomaissa, lähellä Saksan rajaa ( Venlo ). Hänen kortissaan on erikoinen tilanne: pieni viitakerttu ruokkii pesässään isoa käenpoikasta. Joskus käy näin onnettomasti.
Jos kertoo olevansa innokas pyöräilijä. Viime kesänä hän pyöräili Loire-joen varrella. Ensi kesänä on tarkoitus suunnata Sveitsiin. Toivotamme hyviä pyöräilykelejä! Ja kiitos kortista!
Jos also lives in the South of the Netherlands, near the German border (Venlo). His card has a special situation: a small Blyth´s reed warbler ( Acrocephalus dumetorum ) is feeding a large cuckoo chick in its nest. Sometimes it happens this way unfortunately.
Jos says he is an avid cyclist. Last summer he cycled along the Loire River. Next summer he plans to head to Switzerland. We wish you good cycling weather! And thanks for the card!
